UTILITY PROFESSIONALS
PARTICIPATE IN THE ONLINE HYDRAULIC MODEL
TRAINING SUBSCRIPTION PROGRAM
Arcadia, CA USA, January, 15 2010 –
IDModeling is excited to offer a one-of-a-kind, year-round, online
hydraulic model training program that focuses on assisting utilities
and consulting firms with maximizing their training budget to obtain
continued return on their hydraulic modeling investment. The Online
Hydraulic Model Training Subscription Program began in February of 2010
with participation of over 30 utility professionals from across North
America.
IDModeling's Training Subscription Program consists of a series of
live, online, interactive training workshops that are designed to
provide consistent training and support for hydraulic modelers. The
training is IACET approved and participants can receive Continuing
Education Credits (CEUs.)
“The combination of regularly scheduled hydraulic modeling assignments
for each student, documented step-by-step workflows, online
anytime-accessible resource library (videos, presentations, etc.) has
proven to be an optimal way of learning and retaining knowledge from
hydraulic model training,” says Rajan Ray, IDModeling’s Technology
Director, “Plus, these training sessions provide a forum to network
with other hydraulic modelers from other utilities that are applyiing
the same hydraulic modeling software.”
Other benefits of participating in IDModeling’s training subscription program include:
-
Subscription to Industry Expert Webcasts which are bimonthly seminars by industry experts presenting advanced modeling and engineering topics.*
-
Learning core features and most common applications of the hydraulic modeling software.
-
Understanding practical
applications of hydraulic modeling through the Modeling Challenges that
are designed to guide the participants through real-world applications.
-
Accessing step-by-step workflow solutions to the Modeling Challenges.
-
Interacting with other utility modeler(s) who are using the same software.
-
Accessing the IDModeling Training
Library which includes workflows, quizzes, video tutorials, recorded
sessions of the live training, presentation slides, and on-line
calculators.
*For IDM Live Subscription Members
The
IDModeling Hydraulic Model Training subscription program has been well
received by participating Utilities. Ellen Hirayama, Head of the
Technical Engineering Projects Branch, Information Technology Division
at the Honolulu Board of Water Supply states “We find the training
material very useful! We especially like the recorded sessions as we
have been using them quite extensively during our modeling challenges.”
“After the first class, we felt very strong about our hydraulic model
and training investment,” said Jim Bednarczyk, Civil Engineer at Mohawk
Valley Water Authority, “we were immediately able to see the value of
the training and apply it to our current project."
