PRESENTER:
Tom Walski, P.E., Ph.D., DWRE
The objective of this webcast is to educate the water community (planners, engineers, operators, and management) on some of the key challenges associated with hydraulic model calibration including collecting data, what data to use, troubleshooting techniques, etc. Attendees will receive a unique perspective on several areas of hydraulic model calibration, including field comparison tolerances, data quality, and other standards. Dr. Tom Walski, P.E. has published over a dozen papers on the subject of model calibration and will share what he finds to be the most important lessons of how NOT to perform hydraulic model calibration. After all, sometimes knowing what not to do is more important than knowing what to do.
This online event will last for 60 minutes, with a substantial amount of time dedicated to a "live" question and answer session for attendees. The price to attend starts at $65. Please reserve your spot today as there is limited seating available.
Join us for this webcast to learn:
  • What is hydraulic model calibration?
  • Why should I bother with calibration?
  • What kind of data do I need?
  • Is SCADA data better than field tests?
  • Why is much of my data useless?
  • What do I adjust to get a calibrated model?
  • Why should I check a model before I use it?
  • When am I done with calibration?
  • What standards do I use for calibration?
  • Who Should Attend:

This webcast should be attended by engineers, planners, technicians, and operators that work directly with and/or oversee water distribution system models. This webcast is not software or vendor-specific and will identify the fundamental concepts in hydraulic model calibration.
